Middle Tennessee Withstands Murray State Rally, 90-87

GEORGE TOWN, GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS -- Torey Alston scored 26 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, one of four Blue Raiders in double figures as Middle Tennessee (4-1) was able to maintain a narrow lead down the stretch and claim a 90-87 victory Sunday night over Murray State (4-2). 
 
Joining Alston in the scoring for MT, Alec Oglesby hit 4-of-5 three-pointers to net 17, while Chris Loofe and Sean Smith added 10 apiece. 

The Blue Raiders held a 46-34 advantage in rebounds.
 
Fred King topped Murray State with 18 points, hitting 6-of-8 of his field goal tries. He also led the Racers on the glass with six. Javon Jackson, Mathis Courbon and Brayden Shorter scored 12 each, and Roman Domon added 11. 
 
Down 63-54 with 13:54 remaining, Murray State went on a 15-6 run to tie things up at 69-all. From that point on, the teams traded baskets and the difference was never more than four.
